Manzana Castaña - Mexico Altura, EP
Caramel, Green Apple, Orange
EP (European Preparation) specifies that the raw beans are all hand sorted to remove any defective beans and foreign material.
The beans used in our Manzana Castaña Coffee originate in two locations in Mexico - Chiapas and Oaxaca. Both are located on the southern side of the country, closer to the equator where coffee growing is far more suitable. Chiapas, as a region, is known for its tropical, humid environment which in combination with the volcanic soil of the area, creates a sweet, yet earthy bean. Oaxaca, on the other hand, is a region at the base of the "Sierra Madre del Sur" mountain range. The coffee grown here is at a higher elevation, and as such, creates a unique sweetness within the coffee. The blend of the two beans together creates an ideal symphony of flavors, contrasting the sweet and earthy nature of the region it grew from.
Our Manzana Castaña beans are grown in the Mexican States of Chiapas and Oaxaca, located in the southern region of the country. Picked for the high altitude, mountainous terrain, and humidity, the area infuses the coffee beans with a sweeter and more acidic taste, all while still maintaining the earthy notes naturally in the beans. This sweet and silky smooth medley creates an irresistible aroma and brew perfect for any time of day.
